about

This song is really a reaction to a lot of what we were seeing in politics over the last few years. Trying to find accountability but status, wealth, or power preventing that from being possible. The song starts and ends with a call for the leveling of the playing field.

lyrics

Give back that crown
It's a long way down but it's all fair now

Though I could blow
Never did want to be nothing good though
It's such a good world
Oh how do I measure up

Though you plead no
The truth comes back around to haunt you
It's such a fast world
Oh we're all catching up

Though I never saw us falling
Seems we let it go this far
Never said this was my calling
But it's my call to arms

It's such a good book
Never did do nothing good though
It's such a cruel world
Oh it's never enough

Though the trees grow
Faster when the suns upon them
It's such a wild world
Oh I'm not not giving up

Though I never saw us falling
Seems we let it go this far
Never said this was my calling
But it's my call to arms

Give back that crown
It's a long way down but it's all fair now
